Action, we see it every where, on TV, in books and in movies. But inside we all yearn to live the life of a superhero, or to scourge the 7 seas as a pirate, even pillage towns as a Viking. These simple entities are presented in imagination; through books, oral stories, and in our dreams. As a child, even now I dream of being superman, to fly through the air and to crash in to brick wall and watch them fall like legos being thrashed by a school yard bully.
Just to feel like protected by another force, to be superman. invincible, invulnerable, and impenetrable, I feel these things until the dream bubble pops and I wake to find the only thing super about me is my t-shirt with the man-o-steel himself on it.
To mimic dreams with plays, movies, art, TV, books, comics, even toys. the dream itself is so mysterious and so powerful, that people sometimes even see their future. If that’s not celestial then I don’t know what is.
ARG, you know what... I’ve never had pirate dream before... hmmm. Pirates never really did appeal to me at all. But after seeing 3 bad movies about them and play 6 songs and 2 years of Hans Zimmer’s handy work it seems to me it gets a little old. But I can sympathise with someone that has.
AH THE VIKINGS! famous superheros by the name of Thor, Beowulf, Odin, ECT. has spawned from these men. To be Vikings, strong loyal men to their country and kin. To fight the dragons, and fight of the hordes in Ragnarok. For VALLHALA!
