a little thing called ... GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY HEAD

Ok that was wild but useful. Now that I have your attention ... prepare for this ransack of a man and his feelings. I’m being followed. No lie, buy a thing, unlike most stalkers, this one is not attempting to do this consciously. This wave of random emotion is a lot like waiting for a television show that you need to see, or venturing to the next chapter in a "fuck ya-kick ass" book. The show and the book have no attention of stalking you night and day; praying on your thoughts and making you suffer and wait until you meet again. No, this is a kind of torment that you just want to let go, but can't, in your own right, because unknowing to you, your secretly ... nay, the feeling is a omnipotent force that your curious about. This feeling is just a raw curious mess that follows me, but fuck ... I want to know, I feel like an agnostic who wants to believe in God, and God is poking the same agnostic with a lightning bolt in the ass. for shits sake, walking down the street the other day, I noticed my shadow, and I felt the same feeling that I do now, this one is like a shadow, and just want to turn around and say "uhm I know your there, but there’s pretty much nothing I can do about you, so instead of following me, help to accept you." I do this shadow of mine, not of one's doing, has some how creped in my mind and knowing to let it go, I just want to reject/accept it. A fucking oxymoron, but for me, no oxy ... just a moron on my part. Sure, I can go to one and say all these things but there’s a chance that one might just fade away. some may say, good let it go, at least now you wont have to think about it ... well your wrong, if that happens, the aftermath of the ones action will linger in my brain like watching the new adventures of batman. The fuck ... seriously, what ever, shadow ... I’m waiting.

another lame art examination: the alex ross story

Photobucket

Good and evil … the contrast of good and evil has appeared in every aspect that man could create. Man has created the arts to express ones self to define the very core of his/her meaning. In the beginning of time, man drew on the walls to tell of their ventures, of what was good in their life and what caused much turmoil. Thus the start of a type of expression, a feeling that defined the difference between yin and yang with the use of color and detail and enveloping different techniques to trick the eye and create it more expressive. Alex Ross is a man, like all artists; his medium is realism. The painting shown describes the contrast of good and evil, unlike the cave drawings; this envelops the use of different creative techniques with the picture placement and contrast of color. Alex chose to go with heroes in the light, bad guys in the dark, in order to personify color to emphasize the contrast of smooth good and sharp evil.
Superman and Brainiac [and so on] are contrasted in the middle with the use of good being primary triads, and evil being its negative. Opposite in everyway, just like in the comic book, Alex Ross made sure to contrast these individuals with the use of positive and negative colors. Furthermore, to take in mind is the placement on the picture plain, with the focal point being the faces of the heroes/villains; you follow the faces down the triangle like line till you get to the foreground. After examining all the hero/villain alike, you see the contrast in not only color but lighting. The way Ross used lighting was truly fascinating in the piece of art work, he placed the light source high in the sky for both hero/villain. For the heroes, a light white was used to light the heroes, and for villains, a sort of neon light blue haze, almost a moon-like atmosphere, was used.
Alex contrasts good and evil in many ways in this piece of art work; he uses it with color, lighting, picture placement, personification, and shape. With use of color and shadow contrasts the use of light and picture placement which envelops the idea of good and evil. There is [in a way] good and evil in all of us, in Chinese terms, Yin and Yang represent the forces of good and evil in the world and within, and these can be seen in every aspect of life. Which are both in opposition and complementary to each other. Did Alex mean to lecture when he made this painting? Did he mean to question and judge peoples lives when they looked at this? No, he wanted to show a contrast in good and evil through superheroes and villains, and tried to show us that in our differences, we’re all alike.

Cyanide and Happiness #1

Cyanide and Happiness, a daily webcomic
Cyanide and Happiness @ Explosm.net

kung fu? is there a fight a foot? but wait some confusion ... OH SHIT, their heads are stuck together! hahahaha! come on, compared to our* versions of a good fight scene, it looks like a fight, superman vs doomsday. batman vs joker, Eastwood vs Mexicans, and Jedi vs sith. but the Asian influence puts a new perspective that to most it doesn't make since and leaves you with a diagnoses with epilepsy and mild seizures. look at the background in the first and second strip, a green background with white lines, if that were actually animated, it would be moving and still wouldn't make any god damn sense. so here's a spoof on an animation style that just pretty much sucks.

RIP Charleston Heston

Friends, Romans, countrymen, fellow planet of the apes fans, lend me your ears;
I come to bury Charleston Heston, and to praise him.
The evil that apes do lives after him;
The good is oft interred with their damn dirty ape bones;
So let it be with Charleston Heston. The informative news
Hath told you Charleston Heston were ambitious:
If it were so, it was a understatement,
And grievously hath Charleston Heston answer'd it. with a scream "LET MY PEOPLE GO!"
Here, under leave of Charleston Heston to rest -
For Charleston Heston is an honourable man;
and i've Come to speak in Charleston Heston's funeral.
let him have many laughs with mosses about the good old times

Look at all the films he appeared in over the course of his 60-year career: The Greatest Show on Earth, The Ten Commandments, Touch of Evil, Ben-Hur, The Greatest Story Ever Told, Planet of the Apes, The Omega Man, Soylent Green ... and that's just the particularly famous ones.

"I’m confident about the future of America,” Heston said in the videotaped announcement of his illness in August of 2002. "I believe in you; I know that the future of our country, our culture, and our children is in good hands. I know you will continue to meet adversity with strength and resilience, as our ancestors did . . .”

a boy and his car

there comes a time in every teenagers life, in which he looks himself in the mirror and says "I'm a man!" and truth be told, at that age, manliness is an un-reachable target [for most]. one of the things that helps get a teen to that point is a girl and ... a licence. a licence to kill, but instead of killing mortals, he'd be killing' concrete. yes, the feeling of wind in his hair, the ladies looking at him in a way that he would never get if he took his mountain bike to school, just makes you want to shout from a mountain top and scream your way to victory. with his wings he can do anything, he has no goal in life, he has no aspirations, just him and the holy concrete and the law, but even then its easy to be lawless. as soon he hears that engine spark and rumble, his heart races, he feels the energy he's about to exert and he gets ready, his heart beat gets in tune with the rumble and he switches his radio to Van Halen's "Panama" and its nothing but road from there. a boy and his car, a dynamic duo, an unbreakable [but crash able] alliance, a brotherhood, rivaled only by girls and dogs. truly a boy and his car ... god and man ... man and machine, bonds of creation live on!

"For I must be travelling on, now, cause theres too many places Ive got to see... cause I'm as free as a bird now, And this bird you can not change."

walk this way!

schoolgirl sweetie with a classy kinda sassy
little skirt's climbin' way up the knee
there was three young ladies in the school gym locker
when I noticed they was lookin' at me
I was a high school loser, never made it with a lady
till the boys told me somethin' I missed
then my next door neighbor with a daughter had a favor
so I gave her just a little kiss
like this!

looks like this rocker's got a lady ;]

our fair lady rock and roll!

as long as i could remeber, it has always been "sex, drugs, and rock and roll" plus the booze, broads, and bullets that go with it. so what is it about this genre that appels so much? is it that relase of inner presure that jazz and clasical music has supressed that fellow man from his job, his wife, and the constant "big brother" trying to take his pennies. rock and roll started with chuck berry, jerry lee lewis, elive presley, and the beatles. they took rock and roll and made it their preverbeal bitch, they rocked, and they let everyone know it too. if you look how chopin*, coltrain, davis, and lewis rocked out at jazz and clasical, you can tell a rock like lennon saw that and went "YES!" then rock became the weapon of teenagers, with their screams inspired more, more rock is what they got. the stones came along and everyone shit their pants, a rock band with power, they taught the world not to fear ... anything! they could tell you anything and you would do it, because its only rock and roll. as the stone showed their power, the who came along and showed them whats with the jaw droping guitar solo's and amazing drum rifts, big brother was worried when he heard the news that rock had the youth by the balls. now zeppelin came to tip their hat to the youth and the shit hit the fan of talent. applying the mystic wonder of alister crowely and lord of the rings with a power surge of page and bohnem. zepplin has to be one of rock's blessings, if influence, the rifts, the motifs, the lyrics ... all of them are godly. they surge with emotion and scream like william wallace screaming "FREEDOM!" looking at rock and roll, morphing our country, looking the youth the it spawned, their supression of society and seeing their gloomy faces going to their jobs with nothing but money on their ming, rather then going to the concerts with nothing but fucking rock and roll on thier lips, really shows a change nothing in music, but people. their music and voice still lives on but the spirt they once had is long gone. why? why can't the youth embrase rock and roll like they did oh so long ago? no, they'd rather listen to simple music like rap, and hardcore and depressing country talking about a lost dog and how he got drunk and shit his pants. i say fuck that and gimmi more rock and roll, rock on!

out of the ashes, comes the smoke, lady smoke

White smoke in the distance
Filled with nothing but joy
if you try to reach for it,
the smoke will only be coy.

In a wood, forged by earth’s pay,
Distant harmony beyond the brush
in the flurry is where this love lay.
Lays a woman, so lush

“Are you of this smoke, nymph?” asked I
“Or just another lie?”
Looking up, she saw the sky
and drifted away within a sigh

an ode to the finest

first and for most, captain America lives.... glory to his return, more later ...

what is an ode? glorifying an idea? a stable living hero? formidable justice?
YES, all these things manifested into one existence. for years I've had a brain trust, in truth, it was humorous and fun, but in many cases have helped me move mountains. For this is an honor to my brain trust...

to Caleb!

Photobucket

who else to blame for this? i wouldn't be who i am with out this man's intuitive help in my life. almost to me, a man i call brother, he's been my hero for ages, since i was a very young age. he awakened my imagination and showed me where the wild things are, how to find mordor, showed me where the closet of Narnia lies, helped me search for the lost ark with Dogg, we crossed the bridge to terabithia, we did the kessel run in under 12 parsecs, and we fought along side one another against the legion of doom. Caleb has always been there for me, like a good book, always there, always ready, always ready to open your mind. we were fellow actors, but we will always be fellow artists (in different aspects). from long talks @ 3 am, to flying kites in the middle of ford Field, he is ... well how else to explain it then an allusion ... he's like Yoda's light saber, he's batman's bat cave, he's Micheal Scott's "world's best boss" coffee mug, he's Han solo, he's Indiana, he is jimmy Hendrix, but all the while his greatness is always humble and that is crucial, nay his essence of his being, this is why Caleb is ... a legend.

to Matt!

Photobucket

Matt, good sir Matt, always like colossus in the x-men, a gentle caring soul but always ready to fight, but Matt here doesn't fight with fists (at times) he fights with his heart. my good friend matt has one of the kindest heart Ive ever seen, gentle and wise but with Klingon strength and honor, he fight for us... his friends. being a highly valued member of my brain trust, he has my trust, and my friendship. Matt is no mere side-kick to dear Caleb. Matt is like batman, and Caleb superman ... he brings new light and new persona to this squad of super individuals ... he's been there just as astute and humble as Caleb. for this he has my blessing.

a christmas poem

to be of good cheer
on this day that grows near
because that's what human kind wants to hear
blessed is the child, a manger far away
gifts to him, the baby that lay
tidings to Jesus, ofcorse that's what they'll say
Christmas is about him, dint you know
so we bless everyone, even the low
but the thought still haunts me, ever so
"what is Christmas", just snow?"
take the packages, take the bows
take all those presents, all to go
get rid of the red and green to die
because Christmas spirit is all to shy
the shops with their signs and lights to boot
take Christmas's joy like pirates with loot
while CEO's, in their chairs yell Woot!
it's a shame what this holiday has become
family's that argue and hum
liquor, beer, egg nog and rum
is all what this damn holiday has become
we see it all the time, disguised as comedy and such
to the point where we don't give a fuck
we try to preserve it's joy, but its all luck
so as we remember Christmas, with all of its cheer
remember its blessings and hold it near
for Santa may not be real, its true
but make his spirit real, for you
Christmas lives inside all
even when its not summer, spring or fall
to err is to human, bill once said
but to not be fooled, like sheep being led
to honor the traditions, family, and such
as sacrifices, for blessing, and [roasted] nuts
they say Christmas is the best time of year
and people should be nice when this time grows near
but why this day, to be kind when its near
why not everyday of the year
Christmas is a lie, for the shops, businesses, and stores
all they want to do, is use us like whores
but stand and say "Christmas to all, lets get rid of these sores"
the free gifts with thought, made with soul
just for the smile, to make us whole
the gift with thought, with time, with love
to make Christmas great, to fit like a glove
to i say unto you, the few who read this blog
enjoy Christmas, with the gift, blessings and nog
hope grandma doesn't get hit, while she's walking in the fog
blessing to your house, an old Christan way
but i tell you with compassion, i say
for me, it about a manger with baby that lay
to for you, i don't know, but merry Christmas to all creeds
because on every 25th of December, it will fill your Christmas need's

MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM TO HELL AND BACK!

The Super Smash Bros. Project 2!

howdy folks, today we will research the never ending question of "WHO WILL BE IN THE NEXT SUPERSMASH BROS.?" of my opinion these people should be in said game.

1st: JOHN MCLAIN!

Photobucket

this character will be a combination of the speed of captain falcon, and the strength of link. his attacks will consist of him getting 20% damage head shots from his classic 9mm and 15% damage from his hand to hand style. not a high jumper, cause he's human, and his double jump with be due to an explosion under him. known for throwing bombs and grenades, his b-moves would be indeed the throwing of nades while him screaming "die you fuckers!" and last but no least, his taunt will be the whole background exploding and all the players dieing while his voice yells "yippie ki-yay mother fuckers"

2nd: CAPTAIN UNDERPANTS!

Photobucket

wow, i mean wow ... look at him, he even looks like a combination between mario and kirby, naked. with his strong punched and cleaver, crude methods of damage, he will bring down tyranny with his mighty jockstrap of doom. strong like mario, but can fly like kirby. NICE. taunt: he moons the screen.

Photobucket

3rd: MEGAMAN!

Photobucket

=D need be said, megaman has always been a fav. in Nintendo, it has always been mario, link, megaman, at least in my little Nintendo world (NES)so lets bring him back, lets bring him back to the world of Nintendo to sit in his rightful spot next to a plumber and an elf. i know what you might thinking, and no, he will not be like samus aran. he is equipped with the classic powers, blaster, rush jump, cut man ability, woodman shield, gutsman rock throw, the usual from the first two. taunt: he'll look at the screen an with the thumbs up, wink.

humor: the sadist and the masochist

a tale in little shop of horrors in which two men are faced with a problem. pain. i didnt write the skit, but i did the blocking and the emotional elaboration.

THE DENTIST
VERSES
Masochist

WRITTEN BY Charles B. Griffith
Arranged by John Denyer

Parts: The pain guy
Orin the dentist
Nurse
Mother
Head gear kid
Seymour

Location: dentist office, two chairs against the wall, a desk and a dentist chair with a bunch of painful dentist tools

(Screams from a kid getting drilled)

(Nurse enters)

pain guy: (he’s standing on his seat with his knee’s twitching, acting like the exact opposite of someone visiting Dr Orin, happy rather then fearful) hey does that sound mean their finished? My turn?

Nurse: sit down!
(Two people enter, one is a mother and the other is a child with head gear on gasping from pain)

Pain guy: WOO! What happened!? What did he do? Tell me everything!

Head gear kid: AHHHH AHHH (painfully points toward jaw and a pulling motion with hands)
pain guy: hmmm that’s right, (to mother) they have to do that to remove the jaw.

Head gear kid: ahh ahh! AHH! (Again even more painfully points to the inside of the head gear/ roof of mouth while screaming)

pain guy: (almost cocky) ah well consider yourself very, VERY lucky (steps back to chair while nodding to sit, right when he sits in his funky stand with feet on chair, the dentist walks in)

Orin: NEXT!

Pain guy: (stands on chair, very existed) IT’S ME! IM FROM DEARBORN!, I’M NEXT!

Orin: NURSE! (Almost annoyed, and eager to figure out what’s going on)

Nurse: (as she walks out with jacket) huh?

Orin: (curious) does uhhh that have an appointment? (When he says “that” he’s referencing to the weird attitude that the pain guy has toward the dentist but still has no idea)

(Pain guy looks at the nurse then points to Orin, then to himself the whole time having a big grin on his face)

Nurse: (annoyed) I don’t know, ask him! I’m off duty (exits)

pain guy: (jumps to orin off chair, acts like he’s in the presence of a god) ive been saving all month for this, I think i need a root canal, I’m sure I need a long …. Slow … root canal. (Very close to Orin)

(Orin looks eager almost, but still confused, but to humor him he looks in his mouth, bending to his every whim, the pain guy kneels a bit so he can get a good look)

Orin: let’s go (walks toward dental chair)

Pain guy: (existed) ohhh….. (follows Orin) I have a history of dental problems…

Orin: (quick, snappy) shut up!

Pain guy: (in awe of his reaction, he feels like he just felt the touch of god) … yes doctor.

(Pain guy skips to chair)

pain guy: (sits in chair) I went to a terrible dentist on a Wednesday, who was recommended me by …. (Chair gets raised a bit higher, getting existed) somebody who I saw on Monday…. (Bump, getting more exited) who’s the brother of a man who I usually see on Sundays, and their mother is the one who taught them everything they know. (ad lib, adjust light, fidget, try to look at Orin ect.) She’s incredibly gifted by a lot of people don’t think that she should be working (pulls out personal bib) I go to her because I am incredibly devoted to her strength. (puts bib on)

Orin: (Orin listening and getting ready to invoke a lot of pain on him, sarcastically) aww

Pain guy: she can’t really see who you are, but she knows the sound of your voice, she can’t really see, but if you tell her where it’s at, the problem (all the while putting gauss in mouth) she eventually works her way down (Orin sharpening tools) and she finds the problem and fixes it. (Dainty like, almost a pansy) I wish I had that kind of family, that’s how I wanna be, I don’t ever wanna have to just …. (Chair flings back to a laying down position)

Orin: (sadistically) comfy?

Pain guy: (child like) yes doctor.

(Orin goes to pick up all the painful tools)

Pain guy: I remember the first time I ever went to dentist and I thought gosh what a neat job, if only I was a dentist. The dentist I went to had the greatest car, he had a corvette, and I thought, my god, everyone calls him doctor but he’s not really a doctor … (Orin holds a painful tool, grins) (pain guy looking at tool in awe) oh my god (Orin taking out more painful tools, Orin and the pain guy are getting very exited) only I got out of there ok, then you know uhhh (pain guy faints a little at the sight of the tool) then they gave me a candy bar. Then I thought to myself, this is what I get a candy bar? This is what you do, you go through a little thing and you get chocolate out of it. (Exited with knees on chair) you get to work with incredible professionals (just got done setting all the tools on the bench) who get to use incredible incredibly wonderful equipment….

Orin: (interrupted the pain guy) now lets take a look at the mouth. (Whips out large painful pliers) (Pain guy gets big eyes and gasps) say ah!

Pain guy: (sings and smiles) AHHHHHHHHHHHHH! (ad lib. screaming, like I want candy, ohhh, yay, charge with do’s, weeeee! Oh yes your good ect.)

(Seymour enters with baseball cap and jacket and sits and pulls out gun and puts it back in pocket, looking very nervous)

(Takes pliers out of pain guys mouth in shock)

Pain guy: AHHH, OHHH! You are something special! Come on, come on, yes! (More ad lib) (With a new tool, Orin opens pain guy’s mouth) THANK YOU, THANK YOU! OHHHH! (Orin grabs new tool) DON’T STOP, OHH YES! (Orin goes for the tongue) (Jokingly moving tongue side to side while Orin goes after it with pliers) what do you want? Huh? I’m over here now! He he he (Orin gets the tongue and pulls him up by it, getting furious, he drops him to the seat) he he he he!

(Seymour getting curious on what’s happening)

(Pain guy still screaming)

Pain guy: (“BIIIIIIZZZZZ” goes the drill that Orin is about to use) OH YES! I’ GUNNA GET A CANDY BAR! I’ GUNNA GET A CANDY BAR!

(Orin mounting pain guy while wielding the drill)

(Pain guy screaming and clapping and begging for more)

(Orin drilling Pain guy and making the most determined face to cause pain)

(Seymour getting more nervous by the second)

(now a pleasuring scream from the pain guy, filled with moans and oh yes’s, while Orin is getting pissed off, finnaly done, the pain guy screams oh yes, woah. All moans are filled with pleasure)

Orin: (cold, mean, hurt) GET OUT ….

Pain guy: (confused) what’s wrong?

Orin: GET OUT OF HERE …

Pain guy: (spits gauss out, some hit Orin, most on pain guy’s face) what’s a’ matter? (Pain guy sits up; Orin puts drill away and backs up) (Orin glares at pain guy)

Orin: (Orin pushes pain guy out of the door) you heard me, get out of here now! (Leads right to the door) right this way!

Pain guy: I’m gunna tell all my friends about you and their gunna hear about you….

Orin: JUST GET… (Pushes pain guy but feels something, grabs tool out of his suit pocket) what’s this???!!!

Pain guy: (smiles) OOPS! (Laughs) sorry! (Slam door, pain guy exits)

Orin: (looks at tool) SICKO!

define: reality and art*

hello readers

i will be starting new segments in which i will be titling my new posts as one letter titles. such as "define", "imagine", "humor", "allusion", "vision", "quote", and
"quest"

today i will be reintroducing the subject of our constant strive to disconnect ourselves from this mondain reality that haunts us so. like a cheesy b movie character, blessed individuals are blessed with the talent of creating art. art: in the aspect of creating an object or platform that relates to a feeling, scenery or person (see also humanities). we are here today from a union of both art and science. the study of reality and the vision of escaping it. art allows us to see what cant be see with our eyes (at the moment or at all). art comes in the form of painting, digital, sculpture, body, literature, music, and technology* (*kind of like the "y" to vowels, it sometimes can be both art and science). reality can sometimes suck and be great ... at the same time. it's something that humans will never grasp, never. so when people create art, they feel disconnected, they feel closer to a place where it feels like ... energy. understand the people close to art see humans at a point of view like they them selves are art. living breathing art, crafted by God*. but next time you see and old jazz musician (shouldn't be hard in Detroit) sit and talk to him about his artistic adventures in the humanistic world. his eyes will tell tales of old not even epic tales by old Greek men can say.the aura of an old beaten up plaid jacket with a cheesy attempt of a buttoned up dress shirt. his posture will undoubtedly be centred around his instrument and judging by his age, he's been in couple of wars. his hands show sign of damage and carpal tunnel but he doesn't give a damn, he'll play the horn until he dies. he'll just say "jazz requires a sacrifice fool" with a 3 tooth grin he'll smile and jam your heart out of your chest. an artist like so will wow you to the point of spiritual submission. from looking at a world with situations to looking at a plane of existence that have no situations but pure emotion and energy. a world that fades from happy to sad in a second and will conform to make you feel it's feelings. reality and art conform to one another, without one, the other can't live. its beautiful because people need both a realistic life in which art and science co-exist. so take my advice find an aged artist and just converse with him. for it* knows more about reality then anyone because art showed him how to think.

king david in renesance art!

HELLO READERS!

To many, the expression of feelings have always been expressed through the worship of the arts.
-the products of human creativity; works of art collectively; "an art exhibition"; "a fine collection of art"

David, oh beloved David, He is depicted as a righteous, holy king—although not without fault—as well as an acclaimed warrior, musician and poet. the story of David and Goliath, an epic tale of heroism and faith. diligence toward man and god. with daring courage and faith, he stood against a mountain and screamed ... MOVE!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

ah Michelangelo, look at his beauty, every detail to the "T". his body is perfect, the marble molds to his every crevasse and arroyo. he, as David, stands with glory; such realism, the artist is not just a sculptor but a genius in anatomy. the veins and the detail from his hair to his toes. ah, if only art was still this passionate. definitely one of my favorite pieces of David, not because of its popularity in art but its glory in how it is presented. mike make this statue of him to be looked on from above, to glorify his existence, he is king, he wrote psalms, and he is glorified through history as a blessed ruler and poet.

"i glorify you, King David."

on to Donatello, look at the cocky bastard, amazing ... personified as an arrogant prick with the middle age vibe saying "i can kick any one's ass". the hat, the stance, the posture, wow ... i love the characterisation that went into this. Donnie didn't care about the character, like many fan fiction/directors/comic book writers he didn't give a shit about the original tail, he left the basics but put his twist on things. good job Donnie!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

oh boy, look at this tool, Bernini did an AMAZING JOB on this. the form, the energy, and the total drive to the commitment to do god's work in David's eyes. wow ... definitely he did a great job, Berni loves to portray emotional faces in his art work and he defiantly did a bang-up job on this guy. not as detailed as mike but still, kudos to you, Berni.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

hey hey hey, we gota a copy cat! The Biblical hero is depicted naked with the head of Goliath at his feet like Donnie's David, but with a turbaned head and sheathing his long sword. look at that tool ... honestly, i wanted this to be a mature post, but honestly whats with the small flaccid penis? these artists give David a great body, portray him as a bold, brave, holy guy but then don't give him the equipment to deliver. oh well... *TANGENT* not my favorite but decent job.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

now onto Verrocchio's David, holy shit, he's got censorship! YES! the pope must of said something. =X ok ok ok ok, onto business ... it seems like everyone wants to add the cocky flavor to david ... well this guy would be the first to do it, his students included Leonardo da Vinci, Perugino, Ghirlandaio and Sandro Botticelli. so this prick wins ... i still like Donnie's more. =]

A PAINTING! WOOPIE!! yay! Caravaggio did it! =] ok, lets look at this masterpiece ... hmmm ... violent ... nice use of black to personify the action and the characters rather then the setting. hmmm good job. BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE!

this dude liked David so much, he did two ... you cheeky fucker! =]

well, lets talk about the dude now. King David reigned for many years in Israel from his capital, Jerusalem. The City of David remains to this day. and he is still one of the bibles greatest characters. come on he brought Israel into it's golden age. how do we repay his greatness, we put him into the bible, we paint his gloryies, and we tell his tale of greatness and heroism to the little ones as a bible story.

so all i have to say now about this guy, hey, read psalms and you'll know it all.

take a bow ... my king.

i'll be there

"I'll always be there. Always. It's not the powers. Not the cape. It's about standing up for justice. For truth. As long as people like you are out there, I'll be there. Always."
--Superman
this quote sings to me ... it lifts my heart, its like hearing Jesus Christ's sermon at the mount for the first time, its like eating your first hamburger, its as great as your ice cream from the ice cream man. Joy, this makes me feel like a child holding my superman action figure, while wearing my superman cape with a tomato soup stain on my white superman shirt. a quote by a fictional character made me feel this way, wow, simply amazing. but what the hell, sometimes superman installs more faith in humanity and justice, even the people then actual heroes do. ill listen to speeches from FDR, Gandhi, MLK Jr, ect and say wow that's amazing, but when a fictional character like superman floors me, this puts more faith in imagination then reality. it allows me to feel like i can fly, to which all i would need is a red cape, and to believe enough ... wow, if only superman were real ... if only, if only. because i know ... i know deep within my heart, (right next to Jesus and yes he is wearing a superman t-shirt) that he'll be there.

Beowulf ... my former hero ...

first and for most i will discus with you, the few who read this blog ... Beowulf WAS a hero of mine, his story rang through my heart and i felt the brush of angel's wings hoping one day, i, a mere mortal could one day be that great. unlike superman, or Achilles, Beowulf was ... real* (*real in the context of human, NOT "super") real like my love for Batman; (hint next blog: Beowulf and batman: men among gods) recently in light of this new movie coming out, i was existed and pumped for a good story and a great hero for me to look up to (the dark knight movie isn't coming out too soon). i loveD Beowulf, he was a hero to me, i idealized him for his actions to Grendel and GRENDEL'S UGLY!! MOTHER!!! (note how i say ugly, FUCKING ugly, not attractive like Angelina Jolie). here is a list on how they FUCKED up my hero Beowulf

*(spoiler alert for the recent movie)*

1. Beowulf lied to much, showed vanity and pride (i know Beowulf was prideful but not to the existent of the beginning of this movie, it gets better near the end)
2. Beowulf killed Grendel by removing his arm, not going into his mother's cave killing Grendel's mother and killing Grendel
3. Beowulf's character fell in love
4. Beowulf had sex with Grendel's mother
5. Beowulf became king of said pledged lands
6. Beowulf didn't go back to his homeland; geat, and gave treasure and a story to tell, plus didn't kill the sea serpent destroying the wild life in the land of geat
7. Beowulf stayed and ruled as king in said land
8. Beowulf became an empty shell built on lies
9. the dragon some how became Beowulf son
10. Beowulf died by blood loss from his arm being removed to kill the dragon, not by defending a stupid soldier and getting bit into the jugular vain
11. Beowulf was blown into the sea with all of his treasure and sunk into the sea by Grendel's mother and did not turn into an raven to be carried off by Odin
12. Beowulf remained a pagan, not a Christan
13. moral of this movie was that Christ killed all heroes

my love for Beowulf still remains, i still idealize him as one of the greatest heroes ever. but seeing how his life could be embellished and told this way hurt my view Little of my fabled hero. enough to make me very very very emotional. i feel robed almost. Beowulf stood by me when i needed him in my thoughts and my books along with batman, superman and Christ. heroes, i feel used almost like why did i believe this story of Beowulf with this one was presented to me. the movie made Beowulf look like he made the whole thing up. like a story teller rather then a hero. and that to me was a slap in the face, a smug remark to me, Beowulf is a hero and Beowulf is ... a legend and no one can change that about the ORIGINAL TAIL.

how Grendel died:

The mighty one, Beowulf, watched,
waiting to see how that wicked one
would go about starting.
Nor did the wretch delay,
but set about seizing
a sleeping warrior unawares
and bit into his bone locks,
drinking the streams of blood,
then swallowing huge morsels
of flesh. Quickly he ate that man,
even to his hands and feet.

Forward Grendel came,
stepping nearer. Then
he reached for Beowulf.

Beowulf grasped his arm
and sat up. The criminal
knew he had not met
in this middle-earth
another with such a grip.
Grendel's spirit was afraid
and his heart eager
to get away, to flee
to his hiding place, flee
to the devils he kept
for company. Never had he met
a man such as this.

Beowulf then kept in mind
the speeches he had made
in the evening and stood
upright, firmly grasping
Grendel's hand until
the fingers broke.

The monster strove to escape.
Beowulf stepped closer. That
famous monster suddenly wanted
to disappear into the fens.
He realized the power of those hands,
the wrathful grip he was in.
Grendel felt sorry
he had made a trip to Herot.

That hall of warriors dinned.
All the Danes of the city,
all the brave ones, feared disaster.
The building resounded.
It is a wonder the wine-hall
withstood the battle,
that the beautiful building
did not fall to the ground.
But it was made fast,
within and without,
with iron bands
forged with great skill.
I have heard say
many a mead bench
adorned in gold
went flying when
those hostiles fought.
No wise man had ever thought
that splendid building could
be damaged (unless a fire
should swallow it).

The din rose louder, the Danes stood
in dreadful terror--everyone
heard lamentation, a terrifying
song, through the wall:
Grendel, Hell's friend,
God's enemy, sang in defeat,
bewailing his wound.
That man, mightiest
of warriors alive, held fast.
He would not
for any reason
allow his murderous visitor
to escape alive,
to keep the days of his life.

Beowulf's warriors brandished
many a sword, inheritances
from the ancient days,
trying to protect their chief,
but that did no good: they
could not have known, those
brave warriors as they fought,
striking from all sides, seeking
to take Grendel's soul, that
no battle sword could harm him--
he had enchantment against
the edges of weapons.

The end of Grendel's life was
miserable, and he would travel
far into the hands of fiends.
Grendel, the foe of God, who had
long troubled the spirits of men
with his crimes, found that
his body could not stand against
the hand grip of that warrior.

how Grendel's mother died:

Suddenly light glittered,
a light brightened within,
as bright and clear as
the candle of the sky.
He looked around the building,
walked around the walls.
He raised the weapon
hard by its hilt--
Beowulf was angry and resolute.
The edge was not useless
to the warrior--he wished
to requite Grendel for
the many attacks he
had made on the Danes,
much more often
than on one occasion,
when he had slain
Hrothgar's guests in their sleep.
Fifteen Danish men
he devoured while they slept,
and carried as many away,
hideous booty. The fierce
champion paid him his reward:
Beowulf saw Grendel in rest,
worn out with fighting,
lifeless from the hard wounds
he had gotten in battle
at Herot. The corpse
split when it suffered
that blow after death--
the hard sword stroke.
Beowulf cut off the head.

how beowulf kills the dragon and dies:

The hero raised his shield
against the dreadful stranger.
Then the coiled thing
sought battle.
The war king drew his sword,
an ancient heirloom
with edges unblunt.
Each of them intended
horror to the other.

Stouthearted stood that war-prince
with his shield upraised,
waited in his war-gear.
The dragon coiled together,
went forth burning,
gliding toward his fate.

His shield protected
life and body
for a shorter time
than the prince had hoped.
That was the first day
he was not granted
glory in battle.
The lord of the Geats
raised his arm,
struck the horrible thing
with his ancestral sword,
but the edge gave way:
that bright sword
bit less on the bone
than the war-king needed.

After that stroke
the cave-guardian
was in a savage mood.
He threw death-fire--
widely sprayed
battle flashes.
The gold-friend of the Geats
wasn't boasting of victory.
His war-sword had failed,
not bitten home
as it should have,
that iron which had
always been trustworthy.
This wasn't a pleasant trip:
that famous king, Beowulf,
would have to leave this earth,
would have, against his will,
to move elsewhere.
(So must every man
give up
these transitory days.)

... skip couple of episodes of dialogs and soliloquies

Then the war-king
remembered past deeds,
struck mightily with his sword
so that it stuck
in the dragon's head;
Naegling, the great sword of Beowulf,
ancient and shining,
broke, failed in battle.
Fate had not granted that
the iron sword would help.

(I've heard that Beowulf's
swing was too strong
for any sword,
overstrained any blade,
anytime he carried
a blood-hardened sword
into battle.)

Then the terrible dragon
a third time rushed,
hot and battle-grim.
He bit Beowulf's neck
with sharp tusks--Beowulf
was wet with life's blood;
blood gushed in waves.

Then, I've heard,
Wiglaf showed courage,
craft and bravery,
as was his nature--he went
not for the thought-seat,
but struck a little lower,
helped his kinsman
though his hand was burned.
The sword, shining
and ornamented,
drove in so that
the fire abated.

Then the king controlled
his senses, drew his
battle knife, bitter
and battle sharp, which
he carried on his mail,
and cut the dragon
through the middle.
The enemy fell--strength
had driven out life;
the two kinsmen, together,
had cut down the enemy.
So should a warrior do.

That was Beowulf's last victory;
his last work in this world.
