Albert Einstein:
Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one.
Hmmm especially today this quote means a lot, in the case of the youth and up, reality is slowly withering away with better graphics and faster processors. It seems like none of these video game companies ever saw the terminator movies. The first hint I got of my disconnection of reality was when I was little, after I played my first RPG for more then 5+. I noticed that, hey I can control my hands, and I looked up and looked around and saw that this was my house and I taught to myself " I’m john Denyer, not cloud, not Mario, not any 2d/3d character in some video game." immediately after that I went outside and played some baseball :-), now with the wii, reality is making more of a connection with games. The human is involved in the game rather just sitting down and holding a controller. It’s like all those science fiction movies i've always watched and said "that will never happen" is really happening. Virtual reality has been around for awhile but not like this. PS3, X-BOX 360, WII, and PC are sucking people's lives away for cyber life. Why I don’t know, I mean don’t get my wrong I love video games but when your comprehension of reality goes out the window and you lose sanity, that becomes a big problem. I mean look at the D&D die-hards. People change their names to there character, why? Only Jesus knows =/. Please play on but heed my warning young souls ... contain your limited reality because life is too good to be stuck in a 3d world ... like tron =]
